"RUN! GET DOWN!" Madeline yelled as she ducked behind a pile of rocks. There spot where her feet last were was obliterated by a laser. Rocks rained down upon her head as she took cover, the tip of her scythe resting in the ground as she gripped the handle of it tightly.

"Madeline, be more careful!" Marshall scolded, as he hid behind another pile of rocks. In his hand he gripped his bass axe, which now had more chips in it than before. Fionna was crouched beside him, holding a sword that glittered like diamonds, with a tinge of red to it, from the NightO'sphere light that lit the battlefield.

"Dad, we know how to handle ourselves by now." Fritz said as he peeked over the rocky outcrop he was hiding behind with Alistair. "But could some one remind me how we got ourselves stuck in this mess?"

"Well...." Alistair sighed out, as he held his broken left arm that was covered in cuts. "I seem to recall you and your sister holding a meeting, and demanding that we do this little rescue operation, but it might be the pain from the broken arm causing me to hallucinate.... feels like yesterday...."

-Exactly one week earlier-

"You want to WHAT?" Fritz asked as he stood up from his chair.

The group was sitting around a large table, in the main dining hall of the Candy Castle. The chairs were filled by Donovan, Alistair, Jordan, Fuego, Bubbles, Hannah, Pim, Fritz, Thundra and of course, Madeline.

"I want to go rescue Mom and Dad." Madeline said, holding up a Crystal. It was perfectly round, and perfectly smooth. It played within it a scene from the NightO'sphere, showing Marshall Lee, Fionna, Prince Gumball and Flame Prince all chained and caged. They looked extremely worse for ware, covered in cuts, bruises, and both looked beaten and tired.

"Madeline, it could be a trap...." Bubbles voice expressed extreme concern, but also a tone of caution. "They could have just made it look like they have your parents, to lure you out, or cause our decisions about the last gem to be affected by this..."

"We can't give them the gem..." Fuego stood up now, "I get it, That's my DAD! But we know that they would want us to stay put, stay safe, and keep this last gem from them!"

"Who said we were giving them the gem?" Madeline looked at everyone, with a seriousness in her eyes they had never seen. "I'm saying.... I go and rescue them... Alone. I can get in, and get them out with out them getting the gem! you can all stay here and protect it, and our homes."

"You think we'll let you go into that kind of crazy situation, ALONE?!" Fritz shouted, and he slammed his hands on the table. "NO! I AM NOT LETTING YOU DO THAT!"

"Fritz." Jordan looked up at the blonde hot head, who whipped his head around. "She wont have to go alone, I'll go with her."

"Me too." Alistair spoke up, smiling like he usually did. "I'll go as well."

"Then I am going too!" Fritz said firmly, and he clenched his fists. "It's to dangerous for just three of you. I am going with you."

"Now everyone, calm down." Donovan spoke up, and the room went quiet. Fritz and Fuego both took their seats again, and looked at the elder vampire in the room. "Now, If the four of you leave, what do you expect the rest of us to do, with our best fighters our of the castle? There are  more people here, people who depend on you, and the leadership you all provide,"

"You all need to understand your importance now. There are people out there from all your kingdoms. People who can't fight... children, families... Sick, old..." Donovan stood up now, and looked around. "I understand that they are your parents... but you cannot be reckless."

"Now hold on." Pim spoke up, and stood up on his end of the table. "Let's not get ahead of our selves... Maybe this plan can be more than just rescuing our parents... Maybe it could also be a mission to take back the gems they stole... or defeat the enemy once and for all."

".... What are you suggesting...?" Donovan asked, looking intrigued now. He had thought that nothing could surprise him any more,

"I'm suggesting they go through with this plan.... I am also going to say that, they may be our strongest fighters, but they are not our smartest. The rest of us are able to hold our own, and Bubbles has gotten the new gumball guardians up and running. She is working on a way for them to project a shield now too." A smile spread across Pim's face as he spoke. "We have the banana guards training other guards from the kingdom.... Fuego's people of the Fire Kingdom are outside our doors... And Thundra's cloud people are watching from above, waiting to strike down the power of lightning at the first sign of trouble. We can defend ourselves, while four people go out to rescue our formal leaders, and bring back those gems of power. We CAN do this!"

"... Pim..." Madeline said softly, as everyone in the room stared at him. Hannah took his hand and he looked around. "... YEAH WE CAN! THANK YOU!"

"Great... just great." Fritz sighed out, "Now you have me confident that we CAN do this..."

"Jordan.... You've been quiet this whole time." Bubbles said from one side of the table. Everyone looked to her, then at the purple haired vampire, who looked deep in thought.

"Well I was just thinking..." He said and looked up at the others. "... I lived in the NightO'sphere... I know it's ins... and it's outs.... And I think I have some one who would be on the in for this... to help us out. Her name is Keira. She's from the original line of demons who used to rule the NightO'sphere, before the Abadeer's..."

"Good, then let's get in touch with her." Donovan smiled, and looked around the table. "To clarify everything here though...." he looked to his granddaughter. "Madeline... you will take Jordan, Fritz and Alistair with you to the NightO'sphere. You will meet with this Keira... formulate a plan there to locate those gems, and your parents. You'll rescue everyone of them... and bring them back here to the castle."

"While you are all away, we will continue to act like nothing is going on here... incase they are watching us. But we need to decide a leader in all this... some one level headed... some one who is alright with taking the initiative if they happen to attack us while the others are gone... I think that some one should be Pim." Donovan gestured to the blue boy across the table, and then looked around. "Any one have doubts...?"

"I'm all for it.I still think we should all govern our own people, but I will inform them they are to attack when Pim says." Thundra lifted her head, and smiled at Pim. "This I can agree with."

"I agree as well." Fuego said with a nod, and smiled at his friend. "Lead us on, minty butt."

"My people are already more than willing to listen." Hannah said with a smile, as she held Pim's hand tightly.

"What about Bubbles?" Pim said, his face looked a little pale now. "She's much smarter than I am... I can't..."

"I am not nearly as brave...." Bubbles said, pushing her glasses up her nose. "And I have my hands full equipping those who are not physically strong, and making our defences stronger. I have to much on my plate. Besides... You're a natural born leader."

"What... I..." Pim looked to Fritz, Jordan and Madeline for help. "Madeline is a much better leader... I can't do this.... and Why not Donovan....?"

"dude, don't look at us. We're going on what could be a suicide mission." Jordan grinned. "Some one needs to be in charge, can't be the ones setting out to the front lines."

"I agree, Pim's the best choice." Fritz said, leaning back.

"Me too!" Madeline beamed. "Pim, you can do this. You'll be great."

"Well that's settled." Donovan stood up, "Madeline's group will leave as soon as they are ready, I think it's late, so best to rest up before all this."

The others stood to leave, and filed out, but Madeline stayed behind. She looked up at her grandfather who also stuck around, and smiled a bit.

"You think I'm making a bad decision don't you... You want me to stay and defend... You think it's stupid of us to go there, don't you....?" She looked her grandfather in the eye, no longer smiling.

"... You're right. I do. But Madeline, I spent so many years living for just myself.... I was in charge of an army once, the one that Jordan's father fought in... back then, I didn't care wether any of my men lived or died, that's why I don't feel comfortable being a leader here." Donovan sat back in his chair, still holding eye contact with his granddaughter. "No one needs to die in this war... No one will, not with Pim in charge, and you at his side."

"You think we're going to die down there... don't you...." Madeline frowned. "Or that our parents will...."

"I'm worried it might go that way... but I'm also worried they will kill them even if you don't go... I suppose... It's worth a try. I believe you will all be able to get them back safely. I will stay here to help. Just don't get hurt... or killed."

"I wont." Madeline smiled finally, and she floated up out of her chair, "I'll see you tomorrow, Grandpa..."

She floated out of the room, and shut the door behind her with a sigh. She turned to go down the hall, when she felt a hand wrap around hers and tug gently. She turned to look up at Jordan, who had a concerned look on his face.

"Why didn't you run this by me first...?" He asked, and the two of them floated down to their feet.

"What do you mean? I ran them by everyone as soon as I thought about it." Madeline said and smiled a bit. "Isn't it a little exciting? I hope your friend can help us out."

"It's not exciting, It's dangerous...." Jordan frowned. "And you were planning on going alone.... Why would you plan to go alone? Why wouldn't you ask me? or discuss it with me....?"

"Cause I figured you'd say no." Madeline said and they both let go of each others hands. "I knew you wouldn't want me to go, and I thought it would be better for you to be here, to help everyone..."

"Madeline, I used to live there! I used to live in the very place you are trying to invade, I am the best person to go with you..." Jordan frowned at her, "Why...?"

"... Because I didn't want anyone to get hurt. I figured if I went alone... everyone else would be fine, even if I couldn't rescue my parents..."  Madeline looked down. "At least it would only be me."

"Madeline...." Jordan put both his hands on her cheeks, cupping her face gently as he made her look up at him. He stared into those big blue eyes, before smiling softly. "We are in this together... There is no you... and no me... It's us. No matter what.... Where you go, I will be right by your side..."

He pulled her close and kissed her lips gently, before he let go of her face, and smiled at him. She returned the smile happily,

"Now... We need to get our trip into the NightO'sphere planned. What did you have in mind...?" Jordan asked, floating up into the air with her, before they drifted off down the hall.

"We need to get into where ever they are and rescue them... What is it your friend can do to help us...?" Madeline asked, looking up at Jordan.

"Keira is a Demon.... She used to be next in line to be leader of the demons... She would have been in the same position Heather Abadeer has.... accept that Heather took over." Jordan continued to float away with her, as they headed towards the dining hall. "I can see why there is a rebellion against her... She's not exactly the best leader...." Jordan sighed, "But I suppose being the Queen of the Demons is a bit hard to do.... They are not exactly the calmest of people..."

"Well maybe Keira and my grandmother can work something out, but first we have to go rescue everyone." Madeline touched her feet to the ground, and looked up at Jordan again. "I'm a bit nervous about all this though..."

"Me too...." Jordan said, frowning a bit.

"GUYS." They both turned their heads in surprise as Bubbles poked her head out of a room from down the hall. "I Have something for all of you. Come here."

"What do you mean?" Jordan asked, as he and Madeline floated into Bubbles lab. They looked around at all the machines, then over at Fritz, who was buttoning up a new jacket he had just put on. It had no sleeves, and it was long, with coat tails in the back. "Whats with the duds....?"

"I have made you all armour." Bubbles said, gesturing to two more outfits on mannequins. "We are all heading into battle, we need to dress ready. You are all setting out on a mission, a really dangerous one, I want all of you to be ready, prepared and safe."

"Check it." Fritz grinned, showing off the gleaming pieces of metal on his arms, shoulder and shins. "Does this look cool, or what?"

"Are you sure this is necessary...?" Jordan asked, touching his own new outfit.

"The fabric is fire proof, water proof, and stab proof." Bubbles said, picking up a sword and lunging at Fritz.

"BUBBLES!" Madeline shouted in horror, and Fritz looked terrified, but the tip hadn't pierced the fabric at all. In fact, the sword shattered to pieces, all but the hilt in Bubbles' hand. "What...."

"Like she said I guess, stab proof." Jordan looked a bit shocked himself.

"I'm glad it worked." Bubbles said with a smile and Fritz's face went a little white.

"You weren't sure if it would work or not...?" Fritz asked, and looked at his girlfriend.

"No, I was." Bubbles said with a smile, and Fritz smiled back. "Just not entirely." she turned to the others, leaving a newly shocked boyfriend behind her.

"This one is Jordan's," Bubbles said, gesturing to one with a black leather studded jacket with no sleeves. The pants were a dark denim, and it had armour for the shins and one shoulder. "You already have gauntlets, so I figured you didn't need them."

"Good call, I like the style." Jordan said with a grin, and then looked at Madeline's.

"This is... MATHEMATICAL!" Madeline said excitedly. She said excitedly. She pulled on the small black jacket, and the cropped red shirt under it. "I love this, Bubbles!"

"Try it on." The princess said with a smile. Before she could finished Madeline was already behind the screen, pulling her new outfit on.

"This gauntlet is great..." she said, as she stepped out. Her new red knee high boots clicked on the ground. She had tight black shorts and thigh high black socks on as well. She looked up, and grinned.

"Shouldn't it cover her middle...?" Fritz asked. The others could clearly see her scar from her encounter with Darren's hand in her middle. It was a grim reminder from the masquerade ball where they had lost.

"It's okay, She's agile enough to protect herself... I don't think she'll let it happen again." Bubbles said, and looked over at Madeline. "Besides, if I put armour all over you, you won't be able to move. Madeline's best quality is her speed in a fight. If she loses that, then she's useless."

"Hey..." Madeline frowned, and Bubbles shrugged.

"I'm just being honest. You all need to realize your potentials. Fritz, you are not as fast, but you have power in your swings." Bubbles said, and she held up his arm, "That's why I made it so the armour doesn't impede your swinging ability. Jordan is in between, He has both power and speed."

"This is great," Jordan said as he stepped out wearing his new outfit and armour. "This will help, we have no idea what we're getting into."

"Speaking of that, how are you going to get a hold of your friend?" Fritz asked curiously. "If we leave soon, we need to get a hold of her right away."

"You're right...." Jordan agreed, and seemed to ponder that for a moment. "Bubbles, get me some bug milk and a mirror."

"Here." Bubbles stepped over to a pile of things, and pulled out a mirror. She reached into a laboratory fridge and pulled out some bug milk as well. She handed them both to Jordan, who nodded his head and handed the milk to Madeline, before he held the mirror in one hand, and used a marker from a near by desk to draw an ugly happy face on the mirror. He held it up and cleared his voice.

"malum sit vobiscum et cum spiritu tuo; Keira!" He chanted, and Madeline threw the milk on the mirror as he did. He nodded his head in thanks, before looking back at the mirror.

The happy face glowed an evil red and swirled around on the surface with the milk, before the image of a demon woman appeared. She looked apathetic, with a short pixie cut of black hair with white streaks. She raised a pierced eyebrow looking slightly shocked.

"Jordan....?" The woman asked, and she grinned. "Heeeeey~ Haven't seen you in a while. How's my vampire ex-boyfriend doing? Heard you got exiled from your family. Big big gossip here in the NightO'sphere.

".... Ex-boyfriend...?" The others all asked in unison, and Jordan's face seemed to get pale as he looked back at them.

"She's your ex-girlfriend. You decided to phone your ex, for help....?" Fritz asked, looking a bit miffed.

"He dumped me, if that makes anyone feel better." The girl chimed in, and Jordan sighed.

"Because you cheated on me, of course I did." Jordan said, giving a frown to Keira. "And we're still friends. I hope we are still good enough friends though, that you could help us out. We plan on sneaking into the Scarfang mansion.... But we need your help getting into the NightO'sphere unnoticed...."

"I can do that." She said, nodding her head. "We have our own little rebellion army against your uncles going on here. We are in support of the Abadeer reign."

"So, you're going tot help us?" Madeline asked, moving closer to Jordan so the woman could see her.

"Yes, Princess." The woman smiled and looked like she was eyeing Madeline up. "but I hope you're as strong as we've been told. We need the help. They have your enchiridion... I hear they only need one more jewel for it."

"That's impossible.... We took it back from Darren!" Fritz shouted, leaning into the picture now to face the girl. "Madeline risked her life for it!"

"Madeline...?" Jordan looked down at her, as she pulled the enchiridion out of her pouch on her hip. She flipped it open to a random page, and her face went white.

".... It's... It's fake...." she said in a small voice, and they all looked down at the blank pages. "This is a fake...." she repeated, dropping the book onto the ground, and covering her mouth. "Oh glob... What have.... What have I done....? They have it....!"

"Madeline, it's okay. We'll get that back too..." Jordan assured her, putting a hand on her shoulder. "You don't have to worry, we can get it back... and your parents."

"Still... It's my fault..." Madeline pushed her hands back through her hair, but they all jumped when they heard a loud clap.

"OKAY, enough feeling sorry, it's time for ACTION!" the woman in the mirror shouted. "You need to SUCK IT UP. You need to face the fact that you lost. But you also need to believe that IT'S NOT THE END."

"Keira..." Jordan looked a bit surprised by her enthusiasm.

"BUCK UP!" She shouted, making everyone stand straight. "I will meet you all at the saloon 'Dirty Demons' in a 5 nights. Be ready, because you're diving right into a war zone here."

"Yes, thank you Keira." Jordan said, and the woman in the mirror disappeared.

"Well... 5 nights...." Bubbles said, and the group all went silent.

"A war zone..." Fritz whispered and everyone continued with their silence. "... We're heading into a War zone...."

"It never seemed like a war till just now...." Bubbles said, and she looked up at them. "It still doesn't feel like a war... but you are all heading out into the front lines... where most of it has been until now..."

"And if we don't stop it there, it will spill out into the Candy Kingdom...." Madeline said, and clenched her fists. "...We need to stop this as soon as possible."

"Then we're going. We're going to the NightO'sphere..." Jordan said, and the four of them went silent again.

-5 days later-

"Are we all ready?" Alistair asked. He was wearing a tight brown jacket, with armour pieces on his arms and shins. His hair was pulled back in his many braids into a pony tail. He wore tight dark jeans, and still had his famous tartan scarf tied around his waist. "because it's now or never..." He said as he began drawing a large ugly happy face on the floor of the front hall in the candy kingdom. Some citizens had gathered around to watch as the heros got ready to set off.

"As ready as can be." Fritz said, as he adjusted his shoulder piece. His sword was strapped to his back, and he looked back at Bubbles, before turning to hug her. "I love you... I'll come back safe."

"You better..." Bubbles said, as she adjusted the front of his new jacket, then gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"My sweet babies... you better both come back safe with your mother and father...!" Their aunt cake was there to send the group off, and She wrapped her stretchy arms around Madeline and Fritz, and pulled them into a tight hug. "Please... come back safe."

"We will." Madeline hugged their aunt tightly, and they stepped away towards the happy face that Alistair was almost finished preparing. She looked at their friends behind them, and smiled nervously. "Protect the Gem.... It's our last hope."

"We will, don't worry." Pim said, stepping forwards. "You all need to come back safe..."

"We will." Jordan said, taking Madeline's hand and squeezing it tightly. They both looked at each other, and then at the portal.

"Fritz, the bug milk." Alistair said, looking over his shoulder at the blonde vampire boy, who took the milk from Bubbles. He traded it for a kiss, before he stepped forwards and got ready to dump the milk.

"Everyone step back." The master of wizardry said to the citizens, and everyone took steps back up to the walls. "Okay..." He shook his arms, and held his hands out. "Maloso vobiscum et cum spiritum; DIRTY DEMON!" Alistairr shouted, and Fritz dumped the milk onto the face. It started to glow, and the lights went out in the hall. The face glowed red, and started to swirl, until a portal opened. The wind blew about the traveler's hair, and the four of them looked at each other. "WELL IT'S NOW OR NEVER!"

"OKAY!" Fritz shouted, and he looked back at Bubbles one last time, before jumping into the portal quickly.

"SEE YOU ALL SOOOOOON!" Alistair shouted, jumping in next.

Madeline gripped Jordan's hand tightly, and they both looked at each other, and the rest of the hall, before they leapt together into the portal. There was a loud gust of wind swirling all around them like a tornado.

And then it stopped. The two of them landed on the solid ground of a loud rowdy bar scene, which suddenly got silent at the new arrival of the four armoured people who had just arrived.

"My grob.... It's the Prince and Princess..." Some one in the back said in awe, and the bar stayed silent. The twins looked at each other in confusion, before some one parted the crowd and sauntered through.

"Well, about time." It was Keira, but all of her. She was tall, her arms and legs were both slender, but slightly toned, showing she was a fighter. She wore a tight tank top and shorts, with bits or armour here and there. Her bangs overshadowed one eye, and she flicked her head to get them out of her vision. She crossed her arms and grinned. "We've all been waiting for you."

"Keira, thank you for taking us in." Jordan said, stepping forwards to ease the tension in the room.

"IT'S A SCARFANG!" one demon shouted, and they all seemed to move at once with hostility towards Jordan. Some drew weapons as the others closed in.

"HEY HEY HEY." Alistair shouted, bringing the tension to him. "BACK UP. He's with us!"

"LIKE WE'RE GOING TO BELIEVE THE MAGIC TEACHER TO THAT WHOLE FAMILY!" one demon said, grabbing Alistair by the back of his jacket and pulling him back.

"HEY NOW, STOP IT!" Madeline shouted, and she grabbed the handle of her scythe and pulled it off her back. The blade exploded in size, and with a loud thunk, the tip of it sunk into the ground. She glared at everyone in the room showing hostility, which was all but Keira at this point. "They are with us, and if anyone has a problem with that, they can meet me out back and we can fight about it."

"So let him go." Fritz demanded, pointing at Alistair. "And I hate to say it, but leave Jordan alone."

"Do you two know who these vampires are? This one is one of those Scarfang's trying to get rid of your lot!" One demon pointed a club at Jordan threateningly.

"Well I suppose you need to be updated, because he's my boyfriend, and we are all fighting against those idiots." Madeline said, glaring at the demon. "So lower your weapon, and step back, before I get upset."

The demons who held Alistair let him go, and he fixed his jacket. Jordan stepped closer to Madeline, and looked around at the other demons.

"Well, now that's established." Keira said loudly, she sat down at a bar stool, and crossed her long legs. "We have some discussing to do. Every demon in the room, is on the side of the Abadeers. There may be a demon uprising against Heather, but we are the ones who rebel against that uprising. We are the ones who were not swayed by that idiot Azazel, and his words."

"We need to get into the mansion... He's holding Marshall lee and some other's prisoner there..." Jordan explained to Keira, who nodded her head, and looked to Madeline and Fritz. "He's holding some royalty from the land of Aaa, as well as Marshall and Heather."

"Well we already knew of this. There was a battle when some of your royalty showed up here, and we were defeated by the massive forces Azazel has in his command...." Keira sighed, and she stood up off her stool. "He has most of the NightO'sphere under his thumb... We were planning on attacking tomorrow... You all should be able to sneak into the mansion during the confusion. Tonight you should---"

"Everyone hide, here comes Azazel's forces...!" A demon cried out, running in from a door behind the bar. Keira's eyes widened, and she jumped over the bar and torwards the door the demon came out of.

"GET IN HERE. NOW. IF THEY SEE YOU WE'RE ALL DEAD." she hissed loudly towards the group. Jordan took Madeline's hand and flew hastily towards the door, and pulled her in. Fritz and Alistair were not far behind and shot in after them.

"Don't make a noise." Keira said, closing the door behind her as she came in. She moved to the back of the room, and pulled up some floor boards. "In here..." she whispered softly, and she jumped down the hole. The others followed after her, and Alistair pulled the boards shut behind him.

"This is like a safe house..." Keira said as she lit some candles with a snap of her fingers. "Where most of us live. He's hunting down people who oppose him, and so we took to hiding here."

They were in a long hallway, lined with many doors on each side. Some of the demons seemed to have made it down from upstairs. Madeline guessed there must have been many secret passages for coming down under the bar. Everyone was still incredibly silent, silent enough for them to hear murmurs from above their heads.

"We need to stay quiet until the signal..." Keira whispered as she lead them down the hall, "I'll take you to a couple of rooms for you all to use till tomorrow... it's far to late to go rescuing people tonight...."

"Wouldn't this be the perfect opportunity for us to ambush them...?" Fritz questioned.

"Azazel may be an idiot, but he's not that stupid...." Keira sighed, "We lost many men to trying that kind of thing..."

"I'm sorry..." Madeline said softly, and Keira looked back at her. "... This is... I feel like..."

"It's not your Family's fault.... Azazel is a crazy man trying very hard, and sort of pulling off being a dictator. This wasn't caused by Heather, some people are born like that." Keira explained. "There are ways to stop that kind of thing from happening.... but he did not make the right decisions. Now we need to end his life."

"I think that's going a little far, isn't it...?" Fritz asked curiously.

"No she's right, he needs to die." Jordan said, narrowing his eyes. "He's pure evil now... no room for love, even for his own son, Darren."

The group went silent, as Keira lead them around a turn, and stopped in front of some doors.

"You boys can share this room, Madeline can sleep with me in mine." Keira said, pointing to a door beside the boys.

"I don't know, we barely---" Fritz started, the tone of protection rising in his voice.

"She'll be fine." Jordan said, looking down at Fritz. "I trust Keira... She'll be okay. Besides, It's Madeline. I'd be more feared for Keira's safety,"

"Ha, well you may be right." Keira said, grinning at Jordan's comment, and she turned to go into her room. "We should retire now, early start tomorrow... and a long battle ahead."

"She's right..." Madeline smiled, and she turned to follow Keira, before she felt a tug on her hand. She turned around to look up at Jordan, who leaned in and kissed her cheek, then her lips.

"Good night... if anything is wrong, come get me..." He whispered to her. "Even if you're just not able to sleep."

"I will," Madeline said with a small smile, before she disappeared into the room with Keira, and shut the door.

"So you and Jordan, huh? How'd that happen...?" Keira asked. The woman was sitting on a bed the size of a cot in one corner. Madeline noticed another in the opposite corner. "I'm asking sincerely."

"Well... He pretended to want to be our friend.... And I guess we kind of just... started to like each other... then I fell in love with him shortly after that." Madeline said as she floated around the room slowly. "Not much to explain after that..."

"Well, why did you fall in love with him?" Keira said with a grin, as she lay back on her cot, and stared up at the Princess floating above her head.

"I... I don't know I just..." Madeline made a face as she thought about it. She couldn't really explain it. "He... was nice, and protective... I sort of knew what he was up to at first, appearing out of no where like that... then starting to get to know us... it did seem suspicious, but I.... He didn't seem evil, he seemed like he genuinely wanted to get to know all of us, like he really wanted friends.... something he seemed to never have before. So I put my faith in him.... then I liked him... Now I love him."

"Deep.... super heavy." Keira commented, and yawned a bit.

"Why did you cheat on Jordan...?" Madeline asked curiously. "I don't understand that kind of thing... cheating..."

"I loved Jordan...." Keira said thoughtfully. "But back then, he kept himself at a distance, away from all of his. He was a Scarfang.... back then we knew nothing about Azazel wanting to take over... Jordan was just a bad boy that I wanted to get down with."

"Get down with...?" Madeline asked curiously.

"I'll explain that another time... But anyways. I loved him. He was cool, calm, and hawt. But so was his cousin...."

"DARREN?!" Madeline gasped, clasping her hands over her mouth in horror. Keira sat up quickly, shushing her. "I-I'm sorry..." Madeline whispered now, and flaoted closer to Keira. "But... Darren? Of all people... that's just..."

"Hey, Darren wasn't always like that..." Keira said, frowning. "He wasn't the nicest guy around... but he wasn't pure evil like he is now... something happened one day.... Like his lid exploded and landed in another dimension.... He went crazy... He's.... not that bad of a guy..." Keira hung her head. "But.... Now he's to far gone... I'm with some other guy, a pure demon like me."

"What's his name....?" Madeline asked curiously. She sat on the bed next to Keira, who looked up and smiled sadly.

"His name is Greg." She said, slightly amused by the name. Madeline giggled a bit, and the two of them laughed softly. "I know, a pretty lame name for a demon, I get it. But he's a nice guy. He is a powerful leader, but he got captured along with your parents. He;s being held at the mansion with them.... that's why when you guys contacted me I accepted immediately. I want to save him as much as you want to save your parents. And I'm going to sneak in there with you to rescue him."

"Are you sure? You seem like a leader to these other demons..." Madeline said with a frown. "If you follow us in, they'll be forced to battle an army with out a leader which is never good for an army... it lowers morale."

"What do you want me to do? I need to save him..." Keira said with a frown, and she started taking off her own pieces of armour. "I can't let him just rot there in that prison they have him in... I can't win this war with out him."

"Then we'll save him." Madeline said, taking Keira's hand in hers. "We'll save him and bring him back with our parents."

"Why would you do that for me...?" Keira asked, looking at Madeline, a bit shocked.

"Because the NightO'sphere is under my rule as well as the Vampires." Madeline said, standing up and grinning. "It's my duty to save my subjects, and protect them. I'll save him for you, and help you win this war before it spills out into the candy kingdom!"

"Madeline... Thank you." Keira pulled the younger girl into her arms and hugged her tightly. "You truly are the strongest Princess out there..."

"Haha, no sweat." Madeline said happily, hugging the other girl back.

-The next day-

"Okay so here is the plan." Keira was holding a meeting int the bar above where they slept last night. "My men and I will attack the mansion from the front, with the lot of you in disguise among us. As our forces clash, a group with drive it's way through their forces, closer to the mansion, so that your group can break free and sneak inside. From their it's all up to you what your group does... But I know the prison is below it."

"Okay, what are you lot going to do after we get in?" Alistair questioned as he looked over at Keira.

"We are going to keep the fight up as long as we can. to help continue to provide a distraction. You get as many people out of that prison as possible, and they we get the bunk out of there." Keira stood straight, and crossed her arms.

"Alright then, we will be quick as possible." Alistair said, and nodded to the others.

"Good, because I don't know how long we'll be able to hold them back..." Keira said, looking over at some of her men, who nodded. "Alright, lets move out!!"

"Madeline." Fritz stopped his sister for a moment, and looked at her. "Stick near me, alright? And Jordan. I don't want you to get into to much trouble."

"Fritz, we'll be fine." Madeline said, and the both of them followed the small army, tailing the back of them.

"Kids," Alistair looked at Madeline, Fritz and Jordan. "We need to make ourselves a little less obvious," The red headed vampire flicked his hands, and a pile of cloaks appeared in them. The group each took one and wrapped them around their shoulders, and pulled up their hoods. The army marched towards a tall mountain, with a mansion near the top. There were many cliffs, and large rock out-facings impeding their way.

The army stopped as they made their way closer, and from the back, Madeline could see an army stoping them.

"Holy crackers...." Fritz said in a hushed tone. The army was twice their size, if not bigger. The group pushed their way closer to the front, and spotted Keira, standing proudly at the front of her army.

"TURN BACK OR DIE!" A large demon at the front of the army shouted. "WE ARE AZAZEL'S FORCES, AND WILL NOT HOLD BACK."

"GOOD, CAUSE WE'RE LOOKING FOR A FIGHT!" Keira shouted back, and raised her spear high above her head. "WE'RE TAKING BACK THE NIGHTO'SPHERE! CHAAAAAAAAARGE!"

"Madeline!!!" Jordan grabbed Madeline's hand as the army around them charged forwards, all yelling. He pulled her close and held her as the army ran past.

"LET'S GO YOU TWO!" Alistair shouted, grabbing Jourdan by the arm and pulling him forwards. "GET A MOVE ON!"

The two of them followed Alistair closely, and caught up with Fritz quickly, who had just over turned a large demon, flipping him onto his back and stabbing him through the leg to keep him down.  Alistair grabbed Fritz by the arm, and the group kept running, following behind the part of the army driving their way through the other forces.

"PUSH THROUGH! TAKE THEM DOWN!" Keira shouted from the front, leading the way through Azazel's army. She speared 3 demons like they were paper, and turned her head to look at Madeline and the others. "GO! GO NOW!"

"Keira..." Madeline slowed down, as the other three ran ahead, taking the opportunity. She saw a demon about to bash the other girl's head in, and she gasped. "KEIRA!" she shouted, and dashed to her aid, grabbing the handle of her scythe that was shrunken down on her back, she whipped it out, and leapt over Keira, slicing the demon's head off.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! GO!" Keira shouted, grabbing her saviour by the back of her cloak, and throwing her in the direction after her friends. "GO! SAVE THEM!"

Madeline looked back at the demoness, feeling guilt as she shot after her friends who were breaking their way through with a small group of demons that were making a dash for the mansion, and a small defensive squad guarding it.

"MADELINE CATCH UP!" Alistair shouted, as they all kept to running to keep the demons from finding out they were vampires. Madeline quickly caught up, just as the demons crashed down on the defensive guard. The group pushed through them as they were distracted, and came to the front door.

"So... should we knock...?" Alistair asked, looking at Jordan. Fritz rolled his eyes at the joke, before he got a nod from Jordan.

"We break it down, it's not my home anymore." Jordan said, shrugging his shoulders, before the two boys took a few steps back. "You get in on this. Use magic to back us up."

"Alrighty, you too Madeline." Alistair said, and she nodded her head. They both took position, and got their hands ready.

"GO!" Jordan shouted, and both Alistair and Madeline shot blasts of magic from their hands, while Fritz and Jordan both used their weapons to break the door in. They ran inside, and Jordan took the lead. The front entrance was grand, with a large stair case centred in the middle. What appeared to be expensive objects, decorated the hall. Jordan was heading around the large stair case, towards a back room behind it. He slid to a stop, and busted down the door he paused by.

There was a stair case leading down, and it was dark. Alistair held his hand up, and created a flame to light the way. The group took this opportunity to float now, and began flying down the stair case. They traveled for a few minutes, as the stairs seemed to spiral down further into the mountain the mansion was situated on.

"How deep does this go...?" Fritz questioned, looking back. "... And why has no one followed us down yet...?"

"Good question, but let's not dwell on it. Let's consider it good luck and keep on trooping." Alistair suggested, and he paused. "I think I see the end...."

The group finally came to the bottom, and looked around. They were in a large round cavern, there was a large lava pit in the middle of it, and cells lined the cave walls, all around it.

"MOM?!" Madeline shouted, shooting out and flying around to look in the cells.

"DAD?!" Fritz shouted, following suit, taking the other wall to look for their parents.

"MADELINE?! FRITZ?!" Two familiar voices shouted from the very middle across the lava pit. The twins paused in surprise, before they flew towards where they heard the shouts. They met in front of a cell, where their parents were chained inside.

"IT IS YOU!" Fionna looked a bit worse for wear, and she ran towards the bars, but her chains stopped her.

"Madi! Fritz!" Marshall was right behind her, and also looked tattered. behind the two of them were Ice Queen, King Gumball, Flame King and his wife, Ignacia.

"MOM! DAD!" Madeline shouted, and tears of happiness came to her eyes. "We're here to get you out!"

"HURRY! Azazel and Darren! They wen't to attack the Candy Kingdom!" King Gumball said seriously, and the twin's stepped back in shock.

"What?!" Alistair and Jordan were beside them now, and the ginger haired vampire looked shocked as well. "WHEN?!"

"Not too long ago! If you hurry we can make it!" Fionna pulled at her chains. "Get us out, and we can run for it."

"Where is Heather...?" Alistair asked, looking around the inside of the cell.

"Mother is up there." Marshall Lee pointed as best as he could to a chain above the lava pit. From it dangled a bottle, full of dark smoke. "Azazel bound her inside of that bottle.... When I get out of here, I'm going to kill him."

"Let's get you out first." Alistair said, and he went to the lock. He examined it, before he stood up and sighed. "Okay everyone step back. As far as you can from this door." He looked at the group inside the cell. "Maybe uh... Take cover in there. This could be messy."

"What...?" Marshall stood in front of the others, as they stepped back. Flame King got up, and stood with Marshall, ready to shield as best as they could.

"Madeline, your help please." Alistair said, nodding to her. She walked over beside him, and the old wizard took a deep breath. Madeline imitated him, and together they blasted the lock off the cell door, along with the door itself. Flame King and Marshall both defended themselves from the door flying at them with magic and flames. When the dust cleared, Fritz rushed in with Jordan, and they both went to work, breaking the chains off of them.

"Mom... Dad...." Madeline rushed in, and both of her parents hugged her tightly. Marshall grabbed Fritz when he was finished, and brought him into the hug.

"One big happy family... Jordan get in there!" Alistair joked, and the purple haired vampire gave him a look if distaste. "What...? I was just kidding around."

"Okay, so a question..." Marshall said, letting his family go, and looking at the other two vampires. "I already knew Jordan was in the picture... But WHEN did YOU show up, Alistair?"

"Hmm... a month or so ago...? Right after that quaint candy festival you all hold every year." Alistair said with a laugh.

"What have you been teaching them...?" Marshall questioned, stepping closer to him, his hands on his hips.

"The basics... also some new tricks that they seem to be born with. Honestly they taught me more than I taught them." Alistair said defensively and hurriedly. He took a step back from the Vampire King, holding his hands up.

"MADELINE." Fionna said, gasping in horror. "You're middle! What happened?!"

"Oh, Darren shoved his hand through me... I was trying to save Fritz." Madeline beamed happily.

"... Okay that's it. Let's get mother down, then go beat the living dead out of that stupid family." Marshall said in anger, as he stormed out of the cell, and then flew up to go get his mother in a bottle.

"Wait... I have to look for some one." Madeline said, and she flew out of the cell, and started making rounds. "GREG?!"

"Wait a second... Jordan said in a panic, "Who the fluff is Greg!?" Jordan shot after her.

"Uh... I'm Greg." A voice called out, and there was a handsome demon boy who was standing at the bars of a cell. He had a long mane of black hair, and a well built body. He was decorated with armour, and had a pair of glasses resting upon his nose.

"WHO IS GREG?! Jordan asked, pointing at the demon, while looking at Madeline.

"Keira's boyfriend!" Madeline said, and she stood at the ready to blast the door off.

"You know Keira...?" Greg asked, and he stood back. Madeline blasted the door off by herself, and the demon stepped out. "Where is she?! Is she okay?!"

"She's outside fighting right now! We should hurry and help them!" Madeline said, and with that, she lead him over to the others. Marshall had come back down with the jar, and looked at Greg.

"Who is that?" He asked, glaring darkly.

"I'm Greg, Keira's boyfriend." The demon said, adjusting his glasses. He looked oddly bookish for a demon warrior. "I would like to go help my girlfriend if that okay with you, your Majesty." He gave a formal bow to Marshall, who raised an eyebrow, before shrugging.

"We do need to hurry, now get Heather out of that bottle. We need her help." Alistair said, gesturing to the bottle in Marshall's hands.

"Well I would, but." He tried pulling on the cork. "It won't open."

"Try smashing it." Fionna chimed in, and the vampire king threw the bottle on the ground, but nothing. It stayed intact.

"... Uh oh," Alistair saiid, picking up the bottle and turning it over. "It's charmed... we can't open this. Not with out doing a spell, I have no time for."

"Well then let's just get out of here and back to the Candy Kingdom, I need to keep it from being destroyed, thank you." Gumball  said with a sigh, and the group headed towards the stair case.

"I hope the kids are alright." The Ice Queen said in a somber tone, as the group hurried up the stairs.

"They'll be just fine. My boy is strong, and your kids are smart. We're heading back now too, we can help them." Flame King said as they all ran.

"Go go go!" Alistair shouted from the top, as everyone filed out of the stairs, and heded for the front door.

"DUCK!" Madeline shouted at everyone, as lasers came shooting above their heads. She dove out onto the ground with everyone, and pulled her scythe out from behind her back. Fritz drew his sword, and Jordan made sure his gauntlets were on tightly. They looked around the battle field. The rebel army had taken down most of Azazel's by now, evening out the forces.

"THERE!" Jordan pointed Keira out in the battle, and they could all see her fighting bravely.

"KEIRA!" Greg shouted, barreling forwards, into the heat of battle to go rescue his girlfriend.

"We need to get back to that base, I need to make a portal so we can get out of here!" Alistair shouted, and they all took a run for it. "BUT LET'S TAKE DOWN SOME OF THESE GUYS WHILLE WE'RE AT IT! GO!

"GOING!" Madeline shouted, shooting forwards towards a group of Demons. She sliced her scythe through the air, cleaving the group of demons all in two as she burst through them.

"HEY WAIT UP!" Fritz shouted, running after his sister, taking down his own group of demons as he went.

"We don't have weapons..." Fionna said, looking to her husband. "What do we do?"

"Well, now that I can use magic, I can summon them back up." Marshall said, grabbing into his pouch. "I hid them in here, just in case." He pulled out his bass ax, now with added ware and tare. He also pulled out a diamond sword, and handed it to Fionna. "Let's kick some butt, shall we?"

"I thought you'd never ask." Fionna grinned, and she followed after him into the fray.

"JORDAN!" Madeline shouted, looking for her boyfriend in the battle. She couldn't see him anymore, and she sliced a couple of attacking demons in her wake.

"MADELINE!" Fritz shouted from her left, and she whipped her head around, and saw her brother running from a large demon with lasers shooting out of it's. It appeared that the army they were fighting had called for back up, and the back up was large. She could see a few more of the larger ones heading towards them. "SOME HELP!"

"Fritz..." Madeline looked around in a hurry for Jordan, still not able to see him, before she clicked her tongue and flew after her brother, throwing her cloak off her shoulders. She gripped her scythe. "I'M COMING, FRITZ!"

Her blue eyes glowed red, as she shot up at the demon, and brought her scythe up. In one large arc, it tripled in size, and she cleaved the demon in half. It's eye shot a laser after her, and she dodged it easily in the air, zooming back down to the ground. She ran for it now, and looked around to see the other approaching demons. More lasers shot after her, and she dove for a rock out cropping. She saw her parents near it, and she took a deep breath.

"RUN! GET DOWN!" Madeline yelled as she ducked behind the pile of rocks. The spot where her feet last were was obliterated by a laser. Rocks rained down upon her head as she took cover, the tip of her scythe resting in the ground as she gripped the handle of it tightly.

"Madeline, be more careful!" Marshall scolded, Fionna was crouched beside him, looking over the rocks carefully.

"We got here yesterday, so yeah." Fritz said, looking at the vampire. "How did you break your arm?"

"I punched a demon. Not the smartest move." Alistair sighed, and looked down at his arm. "Can come one give me a hand with this...?"

"Oh haha, not funny." Marshall called out to him.

"No, I'm serious. This is my good arm." Alistair frowned, and Madeline moved towards him, and held her hands over the broken arm of Alistair. She began concentrating, and her hands and his arm glowed with a healing light. After a few short moments, Alistair flexed his hand, and smiled. "Good job, you're doing much better now."

"Thanks... but has anyone seen Jordan...?" Madeline asked curiously, and then they heard a battle cry, and they all stood up to look over the rocks.

Jordan was in the middle of the group of large demons, and they watched as he grabbed the leg of one of them, and yanked on it. He had ripped it right off, and grabbed one of it's other legs, and swung it over his shoulder, and smashed the demon into the ground with full force. The others that had been watching now started shooting their lasers, but Jordan moved quickly, dodging all of them, before bringing down another at the knee's. He grabbed it by the head, and pointed it's laser shooting eye at the others,, cutting them down.

"What on earth is going on with him?!" Fritz said in shock. They had never seen this kind of strength and fight from Jordan before.

"... Is that...?" Alistair narrowed his eyes, catching a glimpse of something shining red around Jordan's neck.

"That's my dad's necklace..." Marshall spoke up, and the group jumped over the rocks. "How...?"

"What?" Alistair whipped his head around fast enough to get whiplash. "WHAT?! That gem is only supposed to be given to the next Vampire King! It's power is too great! What was Donovan thinking?!"

"JORDAN!" Madeline shouted, taking off towards her boyfriend like a bullet in the air.

"MADELINE WAIT! IT'S DANGEROUS!" Fritz and Alistair shouted both in unison. Fritz looked at Alistair in confusion, as did Fionna and Marshall.

"What do you classify as dangerous over there...?" Marshall asked curiously, looking angry now.

"That stone... It's VERY powerful...." Alistair was clearly nervous, "It's an ancient magic stone, that when used, amplifies your power..."

"How is that a bad thing...?" Fionna asked, watching Jordan continue to take down the larger demons.

"Well... If the user doesn't properly use it... They can be taken over by the power... And that gem is filled with eons of blood lust from very powerful vampires..." Alistair explained.

"MADELINE!" The whole Abadeer family shouted in horror, and took off after her.

"WAIT DON'T!" Alistair shouted in horror, and he used a spell to stop them. "DO NOT, ADD FUEL TO THE FIRE! IT'S TO DANGEROUS. She's the only one who could survive that, She might be the only one able to fix it..."

"THAT'S MY DAUGHTER." Marshall hissed, his eyes glowing red and his face changing shape.

"YEAH. YOUR DAUGHTER. HAVE FAITH." Alistair said, growling. "She's NOT a little girl! She's the bravest one of all!"

"... He's right Dad...." Fritz said, and Fionna looked at Marshall, giving him a frown.

"JORDAN!" Madeline shouted, as he took down the last of the larger demons, and stood there, huffing like he was out of breath. "Jordan, are you okay...!?"

Jordan growled, and turned on Madeline now, his eyes glowing red. His fangs were longer, sticking out of his mouth and gleaming in the NightO'sphere light. Madeline stepped back from him as he lunged at her, grabbing for her arms. She dodged him again as he went for a right hook now, his gauntlet aflame.

"Jordan, STOP! It's me!" Madeline said, continuing to dodge his attacks. It was like he turned into an animal... Madeline's eyes widened as he shot a blast of lightning at her now, and she lurched back, and threw her hands out to catch herself. She flipped back up, and floated in the air. His next punch was one of ice, and she caught it with one hand. The ice instantly grew onto her hand and arm, but she ignored it, and reached out her free hand, and grabbed the amulet off Jordan's neck. She looked at him, expecting a change, but nothing happened. He used his free hand to grab for her neck, but in a split second, she decked him in the face with her fist full of amulet.

And down he went with a thud, the ice breaking off her arm. It seemed to steam as some of it melted away from the NightO'sphere heat, but her hand looked freezer burnt. She looked at the amulet in her hand. Stuffing it in her pouch, she knelt down and ran a healing hand over Jordan's head.

"MADELINE." Fritz was first there, along with her father. She looked up at them both, smiling a bit. "Are you okay?!"

"I'm fine, Let's get Jordan out of here." She said, looking around the battle field. It appeared the fight was over, and a fair amount of the side they were on, were still standing. All the bodies around them were of Azazel's army. "Where is Keira...?"

"Right here." A voice called out, and the woman was sauntering over the battle field, with Greg behind her. She came to a stop at the group, and knelt down on one knee in front of them with Greg following suit. They both bowed their heads to them, and Madeline raised an eyebrow. "You Majesty... Highnesses.... Thank you so much for your help... and for bringing Greg back..."

"You don't have to thank us, we just did what was right. Besides, you helped us..." Madeline smiled at Keira, who raised her head a bit. "Thank you, for all your help, and for still believing in our family, even after everything that has happened."

"... You're welcome." Keira said with a grin, and she stood up with Greg. "Let's get you all back to your world,"

"MARSHALL!" everyone turned their heads to look at King Gumball waving them down from the other side of the battlefield. "WE NEED TO HURRY YOU KNOW! AAA IS IN TROUBLE!"

"Right, let's get out of here,"  Marshall stood up, and both Madeline and Fritz picked Jordan up, each bearing the weight with their shoulders.

The large group made their way back to the bar, where Alistair proceeded to make a portal in the centre of it. They each started leaving one by one, in a hurry. Madeline decided to head out last with Fritz. As they were about to leave, Keira stopped her.

"Greg and I will come with you, we'll bring an army to help all of you." She spoke seriously, staring Madeline in the eyes. "It would be our honour to right on the side of the Abadeer's."

"Thank's Keira." Madeline smiled brightly. "Let's hurry then, shall we...?"

The twins jumped through, followed by the army of demons behind them, lead by Keira. When they landed on the ground with a smack on the other side, Madeline lifted her head to look around the room.

Her eyes widened in horror as she saw the tragic scene before her. Holes blasted through the walls, injured candy people strewn about, and a frazzled Pim talking to his parents, and hugging them tightly.

"Pim... What happened...?!" Fritz ran to his friend, leaving Madeline to take care of Jordan.

"They got the gem..." Pim sounded defeated, and his eyes looked horrified and saddened. "They hurt Bubbles badly... they hurt many..." Pim was still injured himself, his arm and both legs wrapped in bandages, blood staining them. "... It's over... They're coming..."

"What do you mean...?!" Fritz asked, his eyes reflecting the horror in Pim's.

".... They're going to make a portal with the Enchirideon...." Pim chocked on tears that tried to escape. "They're bringing all the demons left in the NightO'sphere here... They're going to kill us all...."
